The Fire King

Prisoner Henry Cutmore had an extensive history of time behind bars with many of it spent at Geelong Gaol. He was known as the “Fire King” for his habit of setting fire to people’s hay stacks and fields. Henry died at the Geelong Gaol in 1901 when he threw himself from the top tier to the floor below.
